{isaac}

Tomorrow our little cousin Isaac will be having surgery; he has craniosynostosis. We were able to be over there this weekend and babysit to let Alan and Lisa have a little break before this next week comes. We also had fun taking pictures of everything going on, and of Lisa shaving all of Isaac's hair off along with his brother's, and Alan's hair. Keep him in your prayers! He is one of the cutest and sweetest babies I've ever met.

      

{graduation weekend}

We had a great weekend!! It was fun to all of the sudden be done with school. If you look really carefully, you may notice that Travis walked out of the house with his slippers on! We had quite a laugh before taking a picture in front of the BYU sign and then going in to graduation. They blended right in!

Tomorrow is the big day! My parents and Travis' parents are flying in the afternoon and it will be fun to all be together. It was announced last week that Elder Oaks will be the commencement speaker! His son, Dallin Oaks has been one of my all-time favorite professors I have had for the classes in my major. He is awesome! We have plans for Brick Oven and Tucanos; I can already tell it will be a great weekend! I'm so grateful for everyone in my life who has helped me to get to where I am. I am also grateful that I had the impression to switch my major and minor my sophomore year; editing is something I absolutely love and will always be able to use. And I will always be grateful for my opportunity to attend Brigham Young University!

happy weekend!

{new camera}

it all started at brick oven six months ago; a waitress spilled water all over my little digital camera and from there it's gone downhill. the flash won't flash when it needs to flash, the pictures randomly turn out blurry, and there are random water spots in there still. so we decided it was time to get a replacement, one that would last many years. we got a canon rebel t3! it has a video camera in it too. i've wanted a canon rebel since using them on the yearbook staff in high school. today i was in heaven and took pictures of everything. i'm excited we can now actually capture the memories without wondering if the camera will even work or not!

{easter + 6 months}

today is also our 6 month anniversary! today was a beautiful sunny day and we had a great time at church and then went and drove around utah lake. then we dyed eggs...with kool-aid! it was brilliant; thank you pinterest. no vinegar smell and it worked great! we are loving life and are grateful for every minute together.

{phd prep social}

last night we went to the phd prep social and had lots of fun! we went to one of travis' professor's houses and had delicious fajitas for dinner. we also learned some good information from two of the students who are one year ahead in the master's program about applying to phd programs, and what the process is like etc. we have a full year ahead of us that's for sure! but it will definitely be worth it. travis loves this career path and i feel really good about it too. travis' professor's house was very nice to say the least, and trav had fun shooting hoops in an arcade style basketball hoop that came out of the wall in the basement {yes, it was awesome}. then we had a super fun time with davis {who travis' has a lot of classes with} and his wife kristen! today we are over at their house all day having a homework "party" {party only because there is pizza and candy involved}!

wahoo for easter packages! we loved getting one from both my mom and travis' mom. thank you!! so many fun treats {especially the pez and the cadbury eggs}, and we can't forget these glasses travis' mom sent us. we thought we would have a little photo booth action with them:

{conference weekend}

isn't general conference just the best?! so many great, inspiring words. and that closing hymn, come thou fount of every blessing that the mormon tabernacle choir, sang was phenomenal {here's a link to another time a few years ago when they sang it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uslytyVrWFw}. we spent the weekend in american fork and had lots of fun! late nights, jeff's soccer game, easter candy, and lots of yummy food! 

yesterday i had an interview for a full-time writing position at a marketing company in orem; it went really well! i also have another job opportunity that might be better all-around, so we'll see how that all plays out. trav helped me so much to prepare for the interview! we have quite a hectic two weeks in front of us, but the semester will be over before we know it {and then it's on to the next one for trav just a few days later}!
