{state fair}

Travis and I spent most of the afternoon yesterday at the NC State Fair! It was tons of fun. This was our first time there so thanks to some pre-planning, we were able to catch some awesome shows! The pig races were pretty funny to watch. The ducks looked hilarious when they went around the course too! We saw huge fruits and vegetables. One pumpkin weighed 799 lbs and 6 ounces! The Kenyan Acrobats were amazing to watch. They did the limbo under fire, climbed all over things, flipped themselves inside and through buckets, and did flips while jump-roping. And the fried Reese's didn't disappoint. I took about 2 bites and Travis finished all the rest. That was heartburn in a cardboard box just waiting to happen! We saw fried Snickers, fried cheesecake, and fried Oreos among some of the things to eat! They had every food you could imagine. The weather was perfect and our first NC state fair was definitely a success.
