{grandpa & grandma dyer}

We had so much fun having Grandpa and Grandma Dyer here last week! We had perfect weather all week which was a plus. The first day we saw Meet the Mormons which was amazing. We loved everything about it. So inspirational regardless of your religion! The next day we went to Duke Gardens and walked around. The fall colors are starting to appear!

We also went to the NC State Fair and had a blast! Our favorite was watching the Kenyan acrobats, the pig races, and the K9 flight show. We tried some yummy food---fried Reeses and chocolate covered frozen cheesecake on a stick. 

We also went to UNC's basketball museum and got ice cream at Maple View Farm. We enjoyed fun movies after Jake went to bed and dinner at delicious restaurants! We had the best guacamole we'd ever tasted at a Mexican restaurant here. It was so fun for Jake to play with his grandparents---especially peek-a-boo!

And then this picture from today---Jake took the second part of his nap in his carseat {long story, we have a short napper over here!}. He was asleep in his carseat for about 45 minutes then I heard the sound machine change volume. I ran in there and laughed so hard and ran to grab my phone to take a picture. Somehow he had managed to silently escape from his carseat, keep his binki in, and play happily with one of his favorite toys, the sound machine. We love this boy!
