{easter}

Jake's first egg hunt! He was pretty serious about getting all the eggs he could grab.

We had fun at a friend's birthday party! Jake got to hit the pinata and let's just say that was probably the best filled pinata. Ever.

Walk with the kiddos down to a pasture!

This park outside our door is saving grace.

Fun with Leila!

I really don't know if I'll ever know how to express enough gratitude for living where we do. I know Travis was accepted to a lot of programs, but this one we accepted for me, not even knowing it beforehand! Living here at Baity Hill has allowed me to cross paths daily with some of my greatest friends. There are 20 families from our ward that live in this complex--it is such a unique and amazing situation to be in! It's so nice to just walk outside and have adult conversation with someone, let the kids play, borrow ingredients, and the list goes on. We had a cookout with those who could come over General Conference weekend between sessions.

Easter morning! Of all days, Jake learned to say "Jesus" that day.

Jake had a reaction to the chicken pox shot {or so we assume} and had a really high fever. It was scary! But we all got through it. I think I may have checked his temperature too much since I found him sticking things in his ears after that.

Pool noodle cut into rings fun in the tub!

We tagged along to Costco with some friends. Mostly for the samples {which we were too early for!} and for the cheap yummy pizza and drinks for lunch! Jake and Leila were feeling quite a bit of love for each other that morning sharing a cart. Pretty sure they hugged off and on for 5 minutes straight.

He woke up and suddenly seemed all grown up!

Jake used to keep a hat on when he was around 6 months old. Then when he got older he refused to wear his hat! The first second he felt it on his head he ripped it off. Well, with the weather warming up and his blonde head in the sun most the day, we decided we had to force this hat issue. Travis got one of his hats out one morning and showed Jake and put it on. Seriously from that moment on Jake has been obsessed with his hat, wanting to wear it all the time! So cute he wants to be just like dad. And we're thankful for a covered head in the sun now.

For the past 3.5 years of marriage our dresser has been completely covered in my jewelry. Travis, being the handyman he is, wanted to build me a necklace holder! It turned out so great!! He just used free wood samples from Home Depot and some screws and poof. Our dresser is clean now and everything is organized!

We went to Farm Days at NC state with a bunch of friends. Jake really loves animals these days and growls at each one he saw.

 Eating popcorn and watching his favorite: Daniel Tiger.

Bubbles in the lobby while it rained outside. I'm sure grateful for this happy, busy, energetic little boy!
