{charlotte, nc}

When we found out my cousin would be having a wedding reception in Charlotte, NC, we decided to make a weekend trip out of it!

Our first stop was The Lazy 5 Ranch. It was seriously one of the craziest/coolest things we have ever done. It's basically a zoo but with no fences! We opted to drive our car through instead of the wagon ride and bought some feed to give the animals along the way. I decided to drive so Trav could help Jake feed the animals. It was so intense! Hundreds of animals are just all over and you have to drive through the herds and you can put your windows down and feed them whenever. I was sure I was going to run some animal over and at one point it seemed like a llama was going to just dive into our car. To say Jake loved it would be an understatement.

Jake thought the hotel was one of the coolest things ever. Nothing was toddler-proofed of course, so he was pushing buttons galore on all sorts of things!

The boys loved the pool.

Our first and last overnight trip with just the three of us.

Before the reception we ate dinner at On The Border! I loved this restaurant while living in Texas and there just not very common it seems! It was Travis' first time there and we all loved it.

So many Garlick family members living on the east coast now! It was fun to see them all. The next morning we had breakfast, stopped by Krispy Kreme, and then went to IKEA and stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch on our way home. It was a perfect trip!
