This past weekend mom came into town to help Alison move in! A highlight was getting to go inside my Grandpa & Grandma Garlick's old house in American Fork. It's the home my dad grew up in and my grandpa and grandma lived there until my grandma died 11 years ago. It's a huge home and I have so many childhood memories playing in that large house with my many, many cousins. It was so fun to see! My grandpa now rents the house so it had been about 7 years since I had been inside. The house is in between renters right now, so grandpa asked if we wanted to go inside. It still smelled and looked the same; it was just missing about 40 people around the dinner table {or running around}! It was Travis' first time to go inside and I'm so glad we could.
It is so fun to have Ali here and it was great to see Mom for a bit. She even came packing with a new toy for the baby {our first one!} and just got us even more excited! I will love watching my parents be grandparents for the first time. I think they are almost as excited for March to get here as we are! I already ordered a diaper bag and it came the other day; I couldn't resist it was just too cute and Travis approved {which was important seeing that he'll have to wear it occasionally}! We also got a rocking chair that was being stored at my Grandma Blake's; it was the rocking chair my mom used with all of her kids! It is in really good condition and we were so happy to inherit it. I've also been feeling pretty good. Everyday is a bit different and somedays I have an upset stomach all day and some days I'm just fine. But, the whole month of July was just pretty much one big nauseous month. I felt it everyday! So I'm just glad July is over now; it wasn't the most pleasant! But I think I'm about over it all; I'll hit the 2nd trimester mark at 13 weeks mark this Sunday!
Inside my dad's childhood bedroom; the walls are still covered with sports illustrated cut-outs!
