{18 months}

Jake turned 18 months old in June! That meant nursery for him, which we are super excited about.

There are tons of kids in nursery, but somehow the pic I snuck through the window on his first day makes it look like Jake had all the toys to himself!

Taco soup is probably his favorite meal. And it's our least favorite to have to clean up.

Trav's study fuel while prepping for comps. Snack of champions I guess?

I love Sonic slushies, but the closest one to us is 30 min away! So one morning Karlee, Natalie, and I decided to drive the trek to get some Sonic. So worth it. Jake was a fan too. There were even crayons and coloring books for entertainment. That's a win-win.

They were all a bit on a sugar high from the slushies. And Jake's face---I don't even know.

Apparently his taste buds are not normal?? This kid can down salsa---even really spicy salsa without wincing and love it.

Trav off to take his comprehensive exams! He had to memorize the authors, dates, and subjects of over 100 research papers, among other things. It was a 32 hour long test and we are glad it is over with!

Jake and I went to pick up a pizza and without him even seeing what was in the box, he smelled it and folded his arms for most of the drive home. He knows, or thinks, that when he folds his arms that means it's time to pray and then eat!

We celebrated comps being over the next day at Five Guys!

I could just eat their cheeks.

We made a last minute decision to fly to Utah 2 days early. Tickets on Southwest lowered in price so we made the change for free. So, Travis opened his Father's Day and birthday gifts early before we left!

Trav's mom sent him a book with all of his pictures of him growing up.

I surprised Trav with a Fitbit and he was shocked. He's been wanting one forever and totally did not expect it.

I am so grateful for the dad Travis is! He is so dedicated to all he does, and it definitely shows in the time and energy he takes to be a dad!
