{june 2016}

Summer is here and it is HOT! Lots of sand, swimming, and sweat.

Saying hi to daddy after his class ended one morning. He taught a financial class at UNC, a 6 week course every day, M-F. So it was pretty intense! He did so well though and got great teaching reviews!

Leila and Jake. What a pair.

Jake's first bike!

This boy is so sweet before bed and especially when we let him stay up a little later than normal.

She always wants to be right next to him!

Popsicles on the hill!

Kate loves Ev and it's the cutest thing.

We snuck in a beach trip one weekend to Topsail. Perfect day at the beach, as usual! Jake couldn't get enough of the waves and Ev loved the sand.

Travis got a body board for his birthday and loved it!

10 months old!! Can't get enough of her.

Jake and Mav playing---they are the cutest together!

Showing off his new favorite truck jammies.

Waiting for daddy's plane to land! He went to a conference in Connecticut for a few days.

We went to a taco truck then to a park with the Dahles one night. The swings were a hit!

Father's day!! These kiddos just adore their dad! I think he's pretty great too.

LOVE these ladies! Both are moving this summer and it's all the tears over here. These last 3 years have been amazing and hard, but so great with these girls by my side! The last few weeks of June we literally were together like 9:30am-12 then from 3-5 every day with the kids then had girls nights in the evenings.

Catching butterflies

Train ride on Trav's birthday! By the look of it though you'd think it was Jake's birthday. He loved it all!

More butterflies! I finally got one.

This one I put on Ev's head! She was confused.

After a day at the Life and Science Museum (train ride, butterflies, and so much more), we went swimming, picked up some pizza then had cherry cheesecake. Jake and Trav watched the Lion King together too. Perfect day for our amazing dad and husband!

These little friends together are the best.

Getting Jake up from a quick nap before 1pm church.

This month Evie started doing a new trick---folding her arms for prayer! It literally came out of no where and we weren't trying to teach her that specifically or anything at all. One time I just told Jake fold his arms for prayer (as we always do) and I look over and Ev is folding hers! Shes done it a lot ever since if she's in the mood. Jake didn't learn this until he was more like 15 or 16 months old so I was shocked when she did this at 10 months!

A beautiful walk to Merrit's Pasture!

Last play date with the Dahle girls before their move to Utah.

Saying goodbye to them was and still is so hard! We've had so many memories that I'll forever be grateful for and will always have some pretty awesome pen pals.Jake still thinks they're just on a trip.

All the tears.

Jake and Leila get to see so many fun trucks right outside our house!

Natalie bumped this mirror crooked before she moved on accident and I told her I'm never straightening it back---going strong now for 3 weeks!

Cleaning the church!

Trav and I got Five Guys one night and wrapped the leftovers we had for Jake in tin foil. He didn't know the difference haha
