August was pretty much a huge photo dump; Trav went to NYC for a conference so we timed it right and my flew out for a super quick visit to help out! Then it was Evelyn's FIRST birthday and then we hopped on a plane the next day to spend a while in Washington with Travis' family for a reunion. It was an exhausting but fun month!
I don't think I ever posted about this here, but my grandpa & grandma blake were called to serve as missionaries in Ukraine! They leave in January. So so happy for them!
Ev's obsessed with animals lately and screamed when I started pulling her away from the birds at Petco.
How do I not literally eat her up everyday???!
Jake is really into letters! His favorite letter is the letter M. Not sure why...
After watching a play at the library.
Learning colors, m&m style
A couple of these pics will not flip no matter what I do so...
Nana is really skilled in the art of play-dough making
I cannot believe it's been a full year with Evelyn! Lots of smiles, cuteness, exhausting nights, ear infections and milestones. We love her so much!
The flight out was awesome. The carseat contained Jake perfectly and Ev fell asleep on takeoff!
Stickers were magic...
During our layover we stayed on the same plane; the pilots let Jake take over for a bit! To say he was in heaven is an understatement.
The ONLY way we got everything out of baggage claim in one trip was because Jake could pull a carry-on. And with his little pilot sticker on it doesn't get much cuter.
7 hours later on the same plane we made it to grandma and grandpa dyer's!
3 hour time zone change killed us. Jake was a rockstar and adjusted right away and slept through each night and napped great (miracle!) but Ev on the otherhand took like 6 days to figure it out. She woke up at 2am for a few nights thinking it was morning! We woke up like zombies most days and had to tough it out---thank goodness for some naps here and there!
Trav's highlight was most definitely being out on Rick and Kelly's boat. It was amazing!! He did soo well wakesurfing and I liked wakeboarding.
We drove 3 hours to Sunriver OR for a family reunion! Beautiful!
Our theme was TV shows so one night we played minute to win it games.
Here's Ev, still buckled in but trying to escape!
Goody's!
Ev's helmet hair though...
Travis trained for a sprint triatholon with the young men and did one with some of the fam in WA!
There was no shortage of babysitters around with all the cousins---so nice!! The kids loved it.
This time we brought the kids out on the boat---they loved it!
The flight home was a doozy. And at one point Travis was napping and all three of us were awake. Too funny!
Two toddlers around here now...
Chick-fil-A lunch date
Evie loves our fish Fin! She gets so excited when she gets close to him.
