{valentines day}

talk about just a plain old GREAT day yesterday!  first we woke up early so trav could study for a quiz and i made him bacon and eggs! bacon is his favorite and this is the first time i've made it for him since we've been married. then during the day travis found out he made a high A on a test where the average last semester was in the 50% range. he rocked it {i'll give my notecard a bit of credit too ha}. so that was way exciting!

then we headed to bed, bath, & beyond to get a new rolling pin etc... and what did we find? visa gift cards. how we never noticed them before we'll never know. but you better believe we grabbed as many $100 visa gift cards we could to equal the amount of money we had credited there in giftcards and poof. now we basically have all that to use wherever we want. definitely a good move!

then we headed to smiths to get ingredients for dinner; trav planned it all and made it! it was delicious! he actually made up his own recipe and i was very impressed. he made fajitas and salsa. mexican is my favorite! he was so thoughtful and it was so nice not to have to cook. then we watched the movie Moneyball we got at redbox and had ice cream!

the last highlight of the day was me applying to two jobs yesterday, and last night i heard back from both wanting to set up an interview! i explained that i can start april 30th etc...and both companies said that they want me to get back to them in april when it's closer and they want to interview me then and get me a position to fill! i'm so excited. so now i have two concrete options for a full-time job in case i don't find anything better {which is probably going to be hard to do}. talk about a great tender mercy!! http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2005/04/the-tender-mercies-of-the-lord?lang=eng
