{march madness}

there are three times every year that i just love: christmas, summertime, and march madness. in march, i'm usually on the couch "doing homework" with the t.v. on mute and a basketball game on. i think just having my textbook on my lap makes me feel better, but i'm really just constantly watching basketball! i love becoming attached to so many teams, just wanting my bracket to do well. i cheer {okay scream}, throw pillows at the t.v., and almost have my bracket memorized by the end of it. those last second buzzer beaters are the best, and so are when "cinderella teams" go far into the tournament. and i almost {literally} had a heart attack last year when byu lost. it was just so close.

my senior year of high school i had bets going around that byu would beat texas a&m.
and i owed everyone chocolate chip cookies after that.

my family gets way into it as well {which generally involves us using a projector to watch the games on a wall in our house}, which i can't wait for travis to experience! with today being selection sunday, we all filled out our brackets, and then my younger bro jared is in charge of it all; he keeps track of everything on everyone's brackets as each game is played. my dad's sister's family {who live in pennsylvania} is in on it too, so there are a ton of competitors! there is always a prize for the winner, but for march madness bragging rights are definitely the best. can't wait for the games to get started!
