Each February we get to spend extra time on the 4th day of the month remembering our first little baby that didn't get to stay with us. It's always a bittersweet day remembering those 8 months of pregnancy and that night in the hospital going through labor and delivering Elaine Raquel! I always wonder what she would have looked like all these years later, acted like, what she would have been like.
Trav's picture on the back of his Costco membership....
Waiting for Ev's 6 month doctor appointment. It's crazy how fast a year flies by in baby time.
Jake's best friends. They all have pretty awesome moms too.
For Valentines day we hit up food at Chick-fil-A and the Cheesecake Factory and left Jake at "kid party" for our babysitting rotation with friends {in above pic}. It's the best getting to go out on Friday nights and let Jake have a blast too.
This month we were able to make some of our best memories at DISNEYWORLD! It was a blast to say the least. We drove 9 hours to Orlando FL (ended up being between 10 and 11 hours with nursing and stopping for food and gas). The drive went amazingly well and the kids did so, so great. I had a couple little dollar store gifts for Jake to open along the way and looking for trucks passing on the freeway basically occupied him the whole way. My cousin Andrew works for Disney and he and Caitlyn made all of our dreams come true. Seriously! They let us into the park each day, let us stay at their house with them, show us all around the parks, book our fast passes for us and give us all the tips and tricks. Basically the best travel agents ever! We had such a great time and are completely indebted to them for making it all possible.
Jake literally fell asleep like this sitting up on the end of the stroller. We played so hard!
The cutest Disney Junior show at Hollywood Studios!
Jake's kind of obsessed with Sofia the First and gets really shy when he sees her. This is as close as he wanted to get!
Another afternoon Jake fell asleep with mint Oreo drool coming out of his mouth. It was all heaven for this boy that week. The life.
We were able to switch watching kids with my cousins so Trav and I got to go together on a lot of rides! Seriously so fun.
Dumbo: Jake's favorite ride where he literally giggled the whole time.
Jake was tall enough to drive the car!
Dole Whip: amazing.
Besides the amazing Disney portion of the trip, we LOVED getting to hang out with Andrew and Caitlyn, just like old times in Provo and when they lived in Raleigh for a year. Rootbeer floats, laughing, talking, being goofy---we had such a good time together! We wish we lived closer to them, but I guess Disney was a good replacement from living next to us.
Their personalities: Jake a little high strung, and Ev just as calm and happy as ever.
Fun night with good friends on Franklin street with pictures at a mural, dinner at Al's Burgers and ice cream afterwards. Nights like these make me never want to leave Chapel Hill.

Cutest Disney pics and I love Jake's and Evie's SMILES!!!
