{march 2016}

We had a fun month with my family coming up for a visit, Easter, and the start of March Madness!

Jared and Dallin drove from Texas to North Carolina to visit us with Nana and Papa for their Spring Break! We had a blast. First stop was to see Cameron Indoor (Duke's basketball stadium).

Followed by a must eat southern food: chicken & waffles at Dame's!

When did my brother's get so tall!!?

Jake literally grabbed his waffle with his hand and just chowed down. He loved it.

Jake thinks Jared and Dallin are pretty cool and gets super excited when he sees their pictures or on Facetime.

At the Natural Sciences museum in Raleigh

We brought our single BOB instead of double, so at one point the kids got to share a seat!

My dad made me this cradle for my dolls when I was young, so they brought it up for Ev! Of course Jake thought it was so fun and took it over.

We were able to do a temple session with my parents in Raleigh!

Jake had so much fun playing with everyone!

Jake chose his outfit at one point during the day...he did pretty good walking around in my shoes!

Jake's hand was accidentally smashed in the car door---it was a nasty bruise for a couple weeks, but thankfully that's all it was! The picture doesn't do it justice. Poor boy!

If we have our little umbrella stroller out on an errand or something, Jake insists he pushes.

We spent a fun evening at Duke Gardens having a picnic with friends! The flowers are sooo beautiful there this time of year.

We asked a stranger to take our pic; it turned out a little blurry but I just love all these faces! Wish we could have gotten a group picture before everyone else left.

First toothbrush!

Ward Easter egg hunt!

He handed Ev an egg to hold for 3 seconds then took it back. Small steps towards learning to share..

Easter Sunday! & Evie's first time eating scrambled eggs.

Tried to get a picture before church; no one was cooperating!

Egg dying with Kool-aid!

One of my friends and I may or may not have stalked UNC's basketball practice before they left to the Final Four.

We got to see the basketball team get on the bus to head to Houston for the tournament. It was the coolest thing. The players all gave us high fives and the energy and excitement was intense. It was a sad heartbreak ending to the season, but it was such an amazing season! It was a blast living next door to the basketball stadium and cheering our Tar Heels on this year.

Always surrounded by babies haha

First shoulder ride!

Ev gnawed on Jake's arm one night and he determined it was biting {which warrants a time out if Jake bites), so he insisted she go to time-out. She looked pretty cute sitting in the chair.

Making fruit loop necklaces lasted about 30 seconds until everyone just asked to eat them as a bowl of cereal. #smartkids

It was so fun to see Kristy and some of her kids! Her family lived in our hallway for the first 2 years we lived here, and then they moved to South Carolina for residency.

This lasted just a couple minutes until I moved Ev to the normal seat. The buckle just wasn't adjusting on her right; so we will wait till she grows more for that! But Jake thought it was pretty cool.
